Main Purpose of Job An Office Services Clerk is the full performance level of work performing diverse clerical duties which support agency operations and require the review, verification and interpretation of information in order to make determinations and resolve problems in accordance with policies, regulations and laws applicable to agency programs. Employees in this classification do not supervise. POSITION DUTIES Determine which offenders are scheduled to report to a particular testing site and frequency of testing. Identify offenders who have the following: failure to report on last collection date, positive urinalysis on last date for which results are available. Determine sanctioning need. Print sanction screen from HATS (system that tracks urinalysis testing results) for all offenders who require sanctions. Provide documents to the laboratory assistant for offenders who need sanctions 1 through 3. Provide results and sanction screens directly to the offenders assigned agent for offenders needing sanctions 4 or 5. Provide results and sanction screens directly to the assigned agent as soon as the results are available for offenders in schedule 3. If a schedule 3 offender has a positive urinalysis or fails to report and has not been sanctioned by his/her next collection day, the agent assistant prints the sanction screen from HATS and give it to the assigned agent. Perform the duties of the laboratory assistant when that position is unavailable (duties include checking in offenders for urinalysis collection, witnessing collection and maintaining chain of custody procedures. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. Experience: Two years of experience performing clerical duties. Notes: 1. Additional experience performing clerical duties may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education. 2. Applicants may substitute education from an accredited college or university at the rate of thirty semester credit hours for one year of experience on a year-for-year basis for the required experience. 3. Six months clerical training with three courses in subjects such as keyboarding, clerical math, word processing, spreadsheets, database, graphics presentation, proofreading, or office etiquette may be substituted for six months of the requires experience.
