Provides clinical consultation regarding identified cases to mental health and health care staff.Education: * Doctorate in psychiatryExperience: * Training and experience providing psychiatric services to an adult populationLicenses/Certifications: * Physician who is licensed to practice medicine in the State, board-certified or board-eligible in psychiatry * Current CPR CertifiedJob Responsibilities: 1 Responsible to provide psychiatric services as required and within the standards of professional psychiatric and medical care. 2 Responsible to abide by the security regulations of the facility, the regulations of the institution(s) to which psychiatric services are provided, and the policies and procedures of CCS. 3 Responsible to cooperate with the Director of Psychiatric Services, Corporate Medical Director, Regional Medical Director, Regional Mental Health Director, Health Services Administrators, and Mental Health Coordinators to ensure uniformity of mental health services. 4 Responsible to provide documentation of psychiatric services to permit monitoring of compliance with policies and procedures of CCS 5 Evaluation and treatment in a timely manner of inmates referred for psychiatric services by mental health or medical staff. 6 Documentation of all psychiatric evaluations and/or treatment in inmate\'s health record utilizing approved psychiatric templates/forms. 7 Documentation of inmate\'s consent to treatment on the appropriate form to be placed in the health record when psychotropic medication is prescribed 8 Coordination of medical consultations and lab work needed with the Health Services Administrator and Site Medical Director as needed. 9 Monitoring of inmates prescribed psychotropic medications to assess treatment effectiveness and medication side effects by psychiatric interview at least every 90 days. 10 Perform other duties as assigned.CCS is an EOE/Minorities/Females/Vet/Disability Employer To Apply: [Click Job Title to Apply]Specialty: Counseling/Therapy,Mental Health Counselor/Therapist
